Passport Accountability
This kit is especially designed for Fire and Police Departments that need medical information enclosed within their card or use as a passport accountability card. If you purchased or will purchase a Simply ID System (PVC) and have an inkjet or laser printer then this will work for your department.
No lamination required. Please read below for order information and instructions on how to use this kit.
The kit allows you to print medical information to our 8 up card design (Inkjet or Laser printer required) then print to our .10mil adhesive card using the card printer provided from one of our Simply ID Card Systems for the standard card information. Fold the medical paper in half (recommended for best adhesive results) then adhere the two .10 mil adhesive cards together with the medical card information in between the cards. You can order this kit by clicking the buy button located at the bottom of this page. If you need to also order a Simply ID Card System click on the Photo ID System section.
*Kit comes with 400 8-up landscape medical paper cards and 500 adhesive .10mil PVC cards. (Yields 250 total cards since two adhesive cards are used for each person). Also the cards are a total of .20mil verse the standard PVC card of .30mil.
*You can use the adhesive cards on a .30 mil card as well. Your card will be .40 mil, however the card will not have adhesive on both sides. You can order the adhesive cards and .30 mil PVC cards in our ID Card Supplies section separately instead of ordering this kit.
* You must have an inkjet or laser printer to print the medical cards and have purchased one of these Simply ID Systems: Simply ID Lite Card System, Simply ID Card System
or the Simply ID Card System Dual Sided to print to the .10mil adhesive cards. The Simply ID Laminate Card System will not work for this. If you would like to purchase one of these systems click on the Photo ID Systems section on our web page.
Instructions on how to use this kit:
Medical Card Setup
1. In the Simply ID software design a medical card by going to file/new card/choose CR-80/Landscape/8 cards per page. Next choose the fields to use for the medical information. We recommend using/checking the comments field and Field 15 and up. Click ok. Now adjust the font size, size of boxes for each field and whatever else for your card design and save the card by going to file/save card as and saving it as medical. Remember certain fields like the comment field and field 15 are limited in character length. Now all you have to do is click add record (A button on toolbar)to add data information for each individual. If they exist in the database the go to record/record filter and search for the individual and add the info in the medical fields like comment, field 15, etc... If you want the fields to have different labels go to view/display tags and change the labels.
2. We recommend going to the first record in the database by clicking the first record arrow on the toolbar. Click file/print (Print to your Inkjet or Laser Printer Only!)and this will print the first 8 records onto the 8 cards. We recommend first printing to normal paper before printing to the 8 up cards. You will need to adjust the margin of the cards by going to file/print options choosing 8 cards to a page and adjusting the margins. Many inkjet or laser printers will print differently due to their resolution. You will need to adjust the margins and spacing accordingly to your printer. Here is a sample setting for a HP 4550 Color LaserJet:
15.00 for Top Margin 20.00 for Left Margin 22.00 for Horizontal Spacing 18.00 for Vertical Spacing.

.10 mil Adhesive Card Setup
1. You can only print on the front of the card since they are adhesive on the back. Also the cards do not have a magstripe or allow for a magstripe. If you want to print two cards one front and one back then design two separate cards for this single sided setup. If you have a P420 or dual sided PVC card printer you will have to do this. If you have a P310 or P210 printer you can do this and manually feed the front card then the back card. Design a new card by going to file/new card/choose CR 80 edge to edge/Landscape or Portrait if it is Portrait (make sure printer is setup in Portrait mode if this is the case/choose 1 card per page/click ok/choose which fields you want on the card by checking the fields you want and check picture 1 for the database picture/click ok. Double/right click the card to add any objects and double/right click any object to change the properties. Click file/save card as and name it frontcard. Repeat this step for a back side card and name it backcard.
2. Print to the Eltron P210, P310 or P420 printer by going to file/print and choose the printer. You can also "batch" print the single cards by going to file/print options/1 card per page/ check enable batch mode and choose from the drop down list how many records you want to batch print. This will print from the record you are on up to how many records you decided to batch print. Great tool if you want to mass print everyone's card in the database.
Putting the cards together
1. Fold the medical card in half (recommended). Take off the adhesive back cover on each .10 mil card. Place medical card paper in middle of .10 mil cards and stick the two .10 mil cards together. PRESS FIRMLY ON TABLE. Now you have one card with the medical information "inside" the card. Try different folds, cutting the medical card to a smaller size or non folding of the medical card to get the best adhesive results.
Removing the cards to access the medical information
1. Pry apart the two adhesive cards from the edges with a knife. Be gentle and do not rip or pull apart the medical card inside. Pry on the edges to open like a butterfly.
